Training

Training at Trinity StablesAt Trinity Stables we believe that the training process is a series of building blocks.  By building a foundation with these building blocks we are able to accomplish great things, in a humane way, with our horses.  The main principles that we teach our horses are:

  1. Relaxation
  2. Confidence
  3. Trust
  4. Respect
  5. Skill Mastering

We believe that if a horse is not relaxed, he will not feel confident about what he is learning.  Without confidence, a horse will never be able to trust his rider and without trust a horse will never respect his handler and without respect a horse will never master his skills.  We understand that horses are flight animals and that they will learn best in an environment where they feel safe.  Our intention is never to scare our horses or hurt them.  We believe that a horse will perform better when he is doing a job that he enjoys.  Our goal is to evaluate every horse individually, based on conformation, athletic ability, previous life experiences and breeding.  By assessing these traits we are able to come up with a plan that allows each horse to reach its fullest potential.

We encourage owners to be a part of the training process through participation in weekly lessons and by watching their horse being trained.  Although correct training takes time and patience we know that the results yield a horse that is happy, sound and willing.

Do your horse a favor and call us for more information on our training programs.
